July One monthly goal

June link-up is open!

It's time to decide which project to work on this month as my one monthly goal. There's quite a lot to choose from. To start with there's the final bag lady Thelma. I discounted her because she's almost finished. I thought about the batik quilt but again that is moving along nicely. I always think that the project should be one that has been languishing on the back burner for a while, not one that I would probably finish anyway in the month. The one that I picked is the tote bag that I started quite some time ago.

This project stalled because I didn't have any suitable fabric for the lining. I now have several possible fabrics I could use so it's time to get it finished. Last week I sorted out all my fabric which is how I know I have fabric for the lining. Now I just need to remember where I put it exactly as I don't want to go through my stash again.

I also want to finish the hexie bag I'm making. This is for a present and I will be meeting up with the recipient later this month so need to get it sorted. This was the last photo I took but since then the side seams are done and I need to make the lining and finish the facings in order to complete it. Neither of those are major jobs.

Finally I'm going to be doing some more work on the Austen Family Album quilt. I still have quite a few blocks to make before I can create the flimsy . Maybe next month this will be my one monthly goal.

Today in the UK pubs, hotels and restaurants can start to reopen. The weather in London is overcast and at times rainy which could cause problems for staff and customers alike as pubs and restaurants have booked for indoor or outdoor seating. I'd like to think people are adult enough to know that if they booked for outdoors and it's cold and wet they can't just run indoors as there won't be enough room. I really hope there won't be any violence but I have nagging fear there could be problems.

Take care and stay safe

Lyndsey
