Goodies in the post

Today the post man brought me a lovely little package from Scarlett. Scarlett lives in Santiago, Chile and like me she had taken part in Another Little Quilt Swap  run by Kate North . I am now the lucky new owner of Scarlett's beautiful mini quilt.

The heart and the colours first attracted me to this quilt when I saw the photos  of it but in person it is even more beautiful. The choice of fabrics is delightful. To show you what I mean here are a couple of close ups. The quilt has moved into its new home on my coffee table and looks wonderful.

The backing fabric is also very pretty and is red with white hearts. However it wasn't just the quilt that came in the package. Scarlett had also visited this blog and discovered that I like cats so she made a little pouch for me. The cats are so cute. The one on the left looks as pleased as Picasso when he's got himself all snug in the basket.

Inside the pouch was another present, a lovely thimble with the Chile flag on it. I have a small collection of thimbles and this will join the others in my display cupboard.

If you like cats why not leave a comment here to have a chance of winning my give away. The give away is open until December 12th and the winner will be announced the next day.
