Here is the completed embroidery.
I still need to wash and gently press it but I'm very happy with the final result.
I visited my local fabric store yesterday and found these two fabrics. I'm going to use the green wool fabric to make a jacket and the checked fabric is destined to be a skirt. I can't wait to get started on them.
I also got my Votes for Women quilt out ready to start the quilting. I thought I had wrapped this up well so that it wouldn't be affected by the dust when the house was rewired but unfortunately it was covered in dust. I had folded it so the backing fabric was outermost so I unpinned the quilt sandwich and put the backing in the washing machine. Over the weekend I'll iron the backing, re bast the quilt and get started on the quilting. I'm hoping to finish this quilt this month.
I'm linking this post with Link a finish Friday at Richard and Tanya Quilts and with Amanda's Finish it up Friday at Crazy Mom Quilts. I wonder if I could manage another finish next Friday.
